About Me

Christopher Scott was born and raised in Oakland, California. At a young age, he became interested in sign language and continued to study the language throughout his formative years.  Christopher majored in Criminal Justice Administration with an emphasis in Administration and a minor in American Sign Language, at California State University Hayward. He currently is in his second year of the Deaf Centered Interpreter Preparation Program (DCIPP) at Ohlone College in Fremont, California.​Christopher has worked as a pre-certified interpreter in a number of settings, including, K-12, post-secondary, religious settings and in the community.  He has also volunteered as an interpreter at Deaf Expos in Las Vegas, California School for the Deaf in Fremont and many community events. Professional development is a priority for Christopher.  He attended a number of workshops and conferences, including Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf 2023 and the National Deaf People of Color 2023.​  Ultimately, Christopher aspires to work as a Designated Interpreter.
